Tips, Saving, and Getting Help

Saving and resuming

Your game saves automatically. Leave mid-shift, take a call, come back tomorrow: the level resumes where you left off, with your handled count and score intact. Career progress, wings, high scores, and awards sync to your account, so a new device picks up where the old one stopped.

Controller tips

  • Plan the arrival flow as a line, not dots. Aim to build one spaced-out queue to final. Speed control does most of the work; vectors do the rest.
  • Downwind is a shelf. Parallel to the runway, opposite direction, is the perfect place to store an arrival for thirty seconds.
  • Departures fill gaps. Every arrival gap on the runway is a free departure slot. Release the Ready for Departure queue into those gaps.
  • Use the automation commands. Pattern, Approach, and conditional clearances exist so you can put routine traffic on rails and spend your attention on the hard cases.
  • Small screens: the compact command grid labels every button, and the whole-sector overview button is your friend on a phone.
  • Battery and comfort: lower game speed, or pause, whenever you need. The simulation waits for you.

Common questions

  • "An aircraft ignores my commands." Check the tag. Amber 7600 means radio failure, and refusing commands is the point. Also, computer-flown traffic (dimmed, or marked as automatic) is not yours to command.
  • "Intercept says unable." You are outside about 10 NM from the runway, or more than 45 degrees off the final approach course. Vector closer and shallower, then retry.
  • "My landing was rejected." The aircraft was not lined up with the runway or was too high or fast. Take it around and set up a longer final.
  • "Where is Ground Control?" It is a mode on airports that have a ground layout (Solberg, Scottsdale, Vancouver). Open the level's detail page and look for the Ground button.
  • "No more free plays today." The daily allowance on premium levels has been used; it resets tomorrow. Free levels, the Academy, and the Daily Challenge are always open, and the Base Game Unlock removes the limit entirely.
  • "Did I lose my progress?" Progress is stored in the cloud. Give the home screen a moment on first launch; if something still looks wrong, contact support and we can check your account server-side. We take progress very seriously.

Getting help and talking to the developer

  • Help widget: right in the app, chat with support. You can attach diagnostic logs when we ask for them; they make bug hunting dramatically faster.
  • Talk to the Developer: the in-app feedback board. Post a report or an idea; replies from the developer show up back in the app. Real features have shipped from this board, from new commands to whole game modes.
  • Level ratings: rate any level after playing. A short "why" with a low rating is the most useful feedback there is.
  • Email: flatoutatc@help.liveflatout.com reaches the same helpdesk.
  • This help center: guides, release notes, policies, and The Watch companion book live here.

Thanks for flying the scope. See you on frequency.
