Airshow Day (Coming in 3.6.5)

Captured 2026-10-21 from a 3.6.5 beta build on iPad Pro 13-inch (M5), on the Farnborough: Airshow Day (EGLF_AIRSHOW) level.

Coming in 3.6.5: West London, a new regional level around Farnborough, with RAF Odiham's Chinooks, light aircraft at Blackbushe and Fairoaks, and Heathrow traffic passing high overhead. It brings a scenario of its own, Airshow Day.

Airshow Day is a 30 minute shift at every difficulty. Three times in the shift a display box goes up over Farnborough: a 3 NM circle, closed below 3,500 ft, with a two minute countdown before it goes live. While it is live, Farnborough takes no new clearances. Get your arrivals down or into a hold before the countdown ends, keep everything out of the box while the display flies, then bring the held traffic in. Any aircraft that enters the box costs points. Aircraft already cleared to land, and emergencies, carry on.

The patch around Farnborough (EGLF): Blackbushe (EGLK), RAF Odiham (EGVO), Lasham (EGHL) and Fairoaks (EGTF). The display box shows as a faint outline over Farnborough before the first countdown.

The countdown: the box turns to an amber dashed circle and the pill counts down to the display. The two display helicopters are on their way in from Odiham.

Live: the box turns red and Farnborough closes. The display helicopters fly inside it while Heathrow traffic passes high overhead.

A Farnborough arrival asked to land while the box is live gets "unable". Hold it outside the box until the display ends.
