Restrictions on the Data Tag (3.5 Beta)

Last updated 2026-09-23

Captured 2026-09-22 from a 3.5 beta build on iPad Pro 13-inch, on the Boston (BOS) level.

When an aircraft is flying a procedure, the Next line on its data tag now shows the restriction at the fix it is heading for. A plain number such as 12000 means cross at that altitude, 12000+ means at or above, 12000- means at or below, and 280K is the speed. Give the aircraft an altitude that would break the restriction and the line turns amber. Give it one that meets the restriction and the line goes back to its usual colour.

It works on published arrivals and departures, and on your own conditional clearances.

What to look for in the clip:

  • Assign STAR puts HVY973 on ROBUC THREE, and the tag reads Next: ROBUC 12000 280K.
  • Descend and maintain 16000 would take it across ROBUC too high, so the line turns amber.
  • Descend and maintain 12000 meets the restriction, and the line goes back to its usual colour.
  • Expedite hurries the descent. It now works on every level and on aircraft in a hold. Until this build it only appeared in the Gauntlet.

Ships in 3.5.
